Color can infuse the mind to create moods or feelings. If we can only understand color better, we can create rooms that not only look right, but feel right. Healing with Color: Blue
The color blue has positive affects on the mind and the body. It is cool and calming, inspiring mental clarity and inner peace. Native Americans, Egyptians and Mayans believed in blue to soothe the soul.
Blue gives us a sense of security and has been shown to lower blood pressure by calming the autonomic nervous system. It helps to slow human metabolism, helps with balance and self-expression. Blue is also an appetite suppressant.
Blue gemstones are believed to aid in creating calm and relaxation in crisis situations or chaotic situations, to open the flow of communication between loved ones, to feel genuinely inspired, and to gain the courage to speak from the heart.
Blue ranks so high as a favorite color that you can’t go wrong if you incorporate it in your design. Tip: Pairing blue with another color creates a more creative effect.
